Elsewhere, Andros Townsend’s stunning strike helped Crystal Palace earn a shock 3-2 victory at reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Chelsea also lost ground in the title race as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Leicester at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool, though, kept the title challenge moving along nicely thanks to a 2-0 win over Wolves on Friday night.
