Middlesbrough duo set to leave; Leeds United star set for shock departure; Aston Villa linked with goalkeeper

Boro duo set to leave

Middlesbrough are willing to listen to offers for attacking duo Britt Assombalonga and Martin Braithwaite in January.

Boro will let the pair leave in order to free up space for new faces to come in for the second half of the season.

One such player could be former Chelsea striker Stipe Perica, who is currently on loan in Serie A with Frosinone.

Fee agreed

Nelson Oliveira could be set to leave Norwich City escape route with Besiktas reportedly agreeing a fee for the striker.

The 27-year-old hasn’t featured for the Canaries this season with the player well out of favour.

He failed to get a move in the summer but looks set to depart when the window opens next month.

Turkish outlet Aksam are reporting that a fee of around £2.65m has been agreed which will see Oliveira sign for the Super Lig side.

Man City eye Leeds youngster

Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City, according to the Sun.

Clarke, 18, has impressed for the Whites in the Championship this season after being given a chance by Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

His performances have apparently attracted interest from City with Pep Guardiola a fan of the talented starlet.

Clarke has two and a half years left on his contract at Leeds with other Premier League clubs also interested in the teenager.

Villa or Leeds tipped to land Heaton

Leeds United or Aston Villa will sign Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton in the January transfer window, according to an EFL expert.

Both sides have been linked with the 32-year-old keeper who is expected to available when the window opens. Leeds have lost Jamal Blackman with injury while neither Orjan Nyland and Andre Moreira have convinced between the sticks with Villa.

Speaking on the Totally Football League Show podcast, EFL pundit Sam Parkin has declared that he expects the England international to sign for one of the Championship sides although it won’t be Bristol City.

He said: “There are rumours abound that Villa and Leeds are interested in a new goalkeeper. Leeds might need another goalkeeper, not that I don’t rate Bailey Peacock-Farrell who had a good game at the weekend but I do think he’s a slightly weak link there.

“Tom Heaton at Burnley. Bristol City won’t be getting him. It will be either Villa or Leeds if Burnley decide to let him go.

“I think it’s all dependent on the fitness of Nick Pope and when he is able to be involved at Burnley.

“I’m pretty sure one of them will get him and that will be a big leg-up. He will instantly upgrade Villa and I think Leeds.”

Lolley latest

West Brom are looking to snatch Joe Lolley from Championship rivals Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window, according to reports.

Report suggest that the Baggies are keen on a switch for the former Huddersfield man, who was signed at Forest by current Baggies technical director Luke Dowling last January.

The Hawthorns outfit are reportedly not confident of landing their man, however, as Forest will be reluctant to part with a man who has become a crucial part of Aitor Karanka’s promotion plans.
